Cognigy announced a seven-figure pre-Series A financing round and said it would open a Silicon Valley office. The company also said the round included Digital Incubation and Growth GmbH and Bjarne Hansen as active investors supporting international expansion.

Cognigy announced a strategic partnership with VeloWerks Digital. The announcement said the partnership would help build conversational experiences across channels including Facebook, Alexa, web, VR/AR, and embedded technologies.

Cognigy launched COGNIGY.AI 3.0, described by the company as redefining conversational AI management. The release was presented as a major platform version update rather than a minor feature change.

Cognigy announced a partnership with Telekom, stating that Cognigy.AI would become part of Telekom's Conversational AI Suite for automated customer service in contact centers. The company said the collaboration was intended to improve customer journeys through greater automation.

Cognigy announced a $44 million Series B led by Insight Partners, with participation from existing investors including DN Capital, Global Brain, Nordic Makers, Inventures, and Digital Innovation and Growth. The company said the capital would support global expansion and product growth.

NiCE announced a definitive agreement to acquire Cognigy for approximately $955 million. The deal was positioned as a strategic move to combine NiCE's CX platform with Cognigy's conversational and agentic AI capabilities.

NiCE completed its acquisition of Cognigy after receiving the required regulatory approvals. Cognigy’s former CEO and co-founder Philipp Heltewig became General Manager of NiCE Cognigy and Chief AI Officer.
